YAY!!!

It is official Trent is finished with school!!!! The kids and I decorated the front room with some balloons. I thought this day would never come, then I look back and realize how slow, but also how fast time went by. A lot has happened since the begining of this journey. I can't believe how big my kids are getting!

Hannah has her Kindergarten Bug Program and dressed up as a butterfly. She was so cute!

Faith gets so excited to eat real food, and wants what everyone else is eating or she gets mad

Austin has found two new friends- Ethan and Luke. They all love to play Spiderman together.

On Wed my friend Holly had her sweet little baby girl! Lyndee, Camille, and I snuck into the house and cleaned and decorated for her arrival! She is the cutest little baby ever with a ton of hair and cute little chubby cheeks. I am so excited because now Faithy will have a new little friend. :) *P.s Lyndee hope you don't mind me using the pictures. These and most of the cool pictures are taken from my photographer friend Lyndee*

80's night!

(pictures are from Lyndee) Last October I told my friend Holly how I wanted to do some fun things with the women in our neighborhood. She told me she would invite everyone and we would watch scary movies at my house. Ever since we have been doing girls nights out. For girls night this month Camille was in charge and we had an 80's bowling night. Some of us went to the DI to find our sweet outfits, others just had them in their closest! I think Camille (the exercises one) won the night away with her outfit. On our way to the bowling we saw a couple running. I told Camille to jump out and run behind them. Right as she was about to, a cop pulled up behind us and asked if everything was ok. Once he saw us and Camille said everything was fine, he told us to get out of the middle of the road. After bowling we went to Denny's. It was fun to get out. I think someone should do one person's makeup through all the era's so you have one face with a 20's look 30's look 40's look and so on. That way you can see what the styles were and how different each one looks on one person. I think I enjoy the
80's look and would love to have been a teenager then! You couldn't go wrong with the big hair all you had to do was walk outside in the wind. One of My favorite era's is the elegant look of the 40's with the rolled hair on top, ruby red lips and fingernails.. fun stuff.

Dearest Darling...

I decided that with all the WWII letters of Trent's uncle, I am going to try and translate them and type them up. I say translate because the letters are so hard to read. I found that there are some from his wife to him and visa versa. I will post a letter on my blog so you can enjoy them as well. reminds me of the notebook! Here is an example of one letter. Both of them write like this.
First Letter (No in Order)

Location: Somewhere in England
Date: Jan. 27th 1945

"Dearest Darling:
Just a few lines to let you know that I am still o.k. I have a sluggish cold but it is not bothering me very much. How are you these days? Fine I hope.
Darling I received a package from you yesterday. I do not see how it ever got here. It was wide open. There was not a sign of string on it. I do not know if anything was lost out of the package or not. IT sustained a handful of candy, a bushel full of pecans, and advocate, 2 packages of tooth past and two tubes of shaving cream. Was there anything else that you sent me in the package? I have hopes of receiving another package now. I know I have one on the way from Aunt Ferna and two from James.
Have you been receiving any mail from me lately? I received a letter from you about some every 6 days. I wrote James and Henry yesterday
Honey I told you last week about me making me a chest of drawers to keep my clothes in. Last night I worked until 12:30 making one for Srgt. Wire, another Texan who sleeps next to me.
How is the weather at home? Here it is still white and plenty cold. I certainly will be glad when this month and the next passes.
Well darling I must close this time as it is time to go to work. Take care of your self.

With Lots of love and kisses
Your husband"

look at those fists~!

Here are some of the things happening at our house! One of my favorite things to do is when I bake cookies I take a spoon and snitch some from the oven when it is still dough, but warm enough to melt the chocolate!! Yum! Faith has two teeth and is a teething monster! She got so mad when I was giving her a bath and I had to turn the water off. She clinched her fists and made a mad face, screaming!! She does this when she wants me to pick her up too. I just let her throw the temper and tell her "I don't think so!!" She has been pulling herself up on the couch too. Hannah was walking at 9 months. Faith is walking if you hold her hands so we will see! Last night we let Faith cry herself to sleep (this is the third night) and of course when we get rid of one another one comes in... Hannah came crying in saying her ear was hurting. I looked in it but couldn't see anything different then when I normally look in it *We have a cool thing to check ears* and so I gave her some ear drops and she went to bed. This morning she seems to be fine. Faith loves playing with her toys. I can't believe how my baby is growing up so much. Kelli I love the picture you took of Brooke and her naked, wrinkly, little baby. It reminds me of when I would hold Faith ready to give her a little bath and she had the cutest little body ready to grow into!

Trash to Treasure

Today my dad came down to watch the kids so my mom and I could go to the temple. When we came home I decided to go through this box of Trent's late great- uncle Frank. I found a lot of letters he had written to his wife. You can tell how proper the time frame was just be reading his letters. He also saved a TON Of comics about WWII which I gave to my dad since he is a big history buff. I found cuff lings. buttons, badges, hats, purses *of his wife*, China *which even matched some I found at my great uncles house many years ago and saved* It was fun looking in this time capsule. I am glad I was able to save it before they threw it away~! I wish somehow I could find a journal about him or make one to put all these pictures in. I have really gotten interested in family history and have met a lot of distant cousins on facebook. I have met a 70 year old man who is related to the Coe's on facebook who lives in Ireland. He was telling me how he goes to Normandy and that his late wife had once written on the Berlin Wall before it was torn down. He was a child during WWII and has been telling me all about it. I can see the good that the Internet does provide, otherwise how else would I have ever met this person along with many others. I also have met my 4th cousin on my mom's side of the family among many others. We both get out our genealogical records and trace back how far we are related, we also keep trying to find more people. It really is a small world! I know the church has been asking people to type in names onto the Internet. I saw it in the paper and wonder if anyone knows any more information because I would love to try that.

This Easter we went up to my sister's house and had an Easter Dinner. Three extra people came making it a total of 21 in her house. Faith loved playing with Lincoln, and he would give the saddest face one minute, and the next a big smile. Faith looked like she wanted to eat him. That morning the kids watched " An Easter Dream" and did the little family home evening lesson our ward gave out last year with Easter eggs. Scott and I tried to see who could put the eggs in their eyes.... pretty hard work I must say.

Turners.... Yes I was meaning to pull that face.. thanks for asking! *Scott you were supposed to pull a face too but looks like your squinting so it stays put*
By the way Kelli, I Was doing the dishes Erin was just snitching candy out of your kids Easter
