Take a Stand
I think too much in society most of us look up to women who look well on the outside, but are lost on the inside. When I was a teenager I was obsessed with Hollywood and loved everything about it! What was I thinking? They may look like they have it all, but take a deeper look into their lives of fame and you will find divorce, drugs, eating disorders, lawsuits, unhappiness, and infidelity. Riches may solve some of their problems, but it won't solve these. I really do feel bad for them and hope one day they can find what matters most in life. I know some of them have to hire nanny's to watch their children so they can have that luxurious life of fame, but when all is said and done and they are on their death bed, will the people who loved seeing them in public be the ones to hold their hands as they take their last breath? I know that nobody is perfect and we all have our trials and pain. However the women that I need to be looking up to are women of integrity, virtue, who paid a price to make a child's life or life of another better. They may not be the skinniest, prettiest women we have ever seen, but what they stand for is far better than any of that. Those who will lift you up when you are down, give you words of encouragement. I may not know those struggling personally, but I am sure those in "Hollywood" are wonderful people, but to me some seem lost, or had hard lives and I really do feel for them. Maybe the public puts too much pressure on them. If they would look to these women maybe their eyes would spark once again.

I tag everyone
*Didn't know Northridge had a ice hockey team but that is where I found this picture, you know who you are but didn't you put Twinkies and a time capsule in one of the ceiling tiles at school?*
1. Did you date someone from your school? Yes, he was a year younger then I was, broke up with me, but ended up joining the church and asking to see me again when I was engaged, told him I moved on.
2. What kind of car did you drive? haha the deadbeat, Ugly Pontiac.
3. Did you pass your driver's license test on the first try? Blahaa, driving yes, written.. sadly I missed one too many I laugh now, because I have never been pulled over or in an accident *knock on wood*
4. Were you a party animal? No, I had a "Good" group of friends. Plus I liked hanging out with my older brother and sisters friends more! They were fun!
5. Were you considered a flirt? not to people my age. To my brothers friends, yes I probably was *Reason I married someone 5 years older than I am.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? None. Can't sing or carry a tune worth crap
Where is number 7?
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Uh, no.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No.
10. Can you still sing the song? the first sentence
11. Who were your favorite teachers? LOVED my Honors English teachers Mrs. Hansen, I saw her a couple years back and went to lunch with her, my friend, and our older sisters* She loved us! I loved Mrs. Robins, but sadly she passed away unexpectedly a couple years back. My sister and I went to her funeral as well. I liked Mr. Ashcraft because I would make fun of him and laughed at his silly laugh. I am sure there were others but I had an attachment to my English teachers most
12. Where did you sit during lunch? With friends. However I tried to sit by someone who wasn't sitting by anyone, I met some cool friends of other faiths that way. I loved learning about what they believed in, but had to side kick my friend to stop trying to bible bash. It's like politics I love learning what others believe because it teaches me something and makes me a better person by being acceptive of others
13. What is your schools full name? Northridge High School

16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? I will be honest, Sometimes when I met friends for myself I came WAY out of my shell and loved the person I was, however that didn't happen much because I was surrounded by being comfortable in my shell. Now I am the person I loved and the people I keep in contact with are the people who probably wouldn't have gotten along with me before, or I never hung out with then. COme to find out they are better friends. If it is someone I saw that I thought .. yeah she is a jerk *I learned it was me JUDGING THEM* and I was the jerk. Makes me think of my enemys as "yeah we would be great friends"
17. What do you remember most about graduation? Going to a party with some of the guys from productions that were so awesome, they reminded me of "the barenaked ladies" group and even sung like them. Then my friend Heather snuck out of her bedroom to go to the party with me, it was up at one of the guys house who had a bondfire and pond.
18. Where did you go senior skip day? We didn't have a senior skip day, I skipped whenever the heck I felt like it, still came away with a dang nice grade point average. In fact I didn't have honors english my Sr. year and my teacher would always tell me I could go home if I wanted.
19. Were you in any clubs? Yes We had a club, it gave me a scholarship actually. The Great Outdoors club.... I will always remember going ice blocking and almost breaking my leg. jk
20. Have you gained some weight since then? HA! about the same I think. I had lost TONS in college though and never will be that way again
21? A bunch of us went waterballon throwing at Prom one year. Sorry if I ever hit anyone reading this
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Hmm..
23. Did you have a job while in high school? Castle Brooke Reception center,Lincoln Elementry
Best thing that happend to me, was to be on my own in college and open and find out who I was and love that person. Then went back and met others I wish I had the guts to say hi to before. Now people can't shut me up. We won't even go to the sense of humor part.. let's just say I was a prude before LOL But thanks to Trent.. I am worse then he is!
phone service anyone?
I have a Tmobile phone service and can do a "Change of responsibility" to someone who wants service with them. It will be around 50 dollars a month, and what we do is we call in separate times and they take the service I have and give it to you, only you will be able to get into the account since it will then be under your name. By doing this you wont have to pay for any set up fees. Let me know if your interested!

Think whats happening on wall street doesn't affect you? your wrong! Yesterday I got a letter from American Express cutting my credit card limit in half! Not that I like to use credit cards but we already had some money on it and now because of cutting it in half, the payment shot through the roof, and the % of the balance can effect your credit score. I was watching "Good morning America" and they said, watch out because credit card company's will be cutting things out of cards you ALREADY own. That means my company was checking my credit without approval, who knows how many other places will be checking credit without you knowing. It is harder now to get a loan for a mortgage, car, and so on. It's a big mess and I am fed up with the dumb politics of BOTH sides acting like they are in high school for a dumb popularity contest that can't be won!! Then they use problems like this to "Act" like they care just for more votes. It's a scary world. My husband and I are now doing "Operation Get out/ Stay out of debt" (that includes our mortgage) My husband is going to be doing a side job. I must say I love that he is willing to work so hard even if that means we won't be seeing much of each other. Has anyone else been hit lately? If not watch your mail! They may decide to use the universal default clause to make up the shortfall!

Thanks To Ashlie Davis I am going to start her plan of OMAW- One Meal A Week. I need to be more organized and my problem is I can't cook very well. So I saw that she had posted some recipes and I am going to follow that. She goes to the store once a week for the week, I too will be doing that as well. I will post a recipe a week on my blog & please leave in my comments one of your favorite, easy recipes!
Chicken Cordon Bleu
Brown Skinless/Bonless chicken breasts ( I shred the chicken for this recipe)
Get slices of Ham and slices of monteray Jack Cheese
Place the chicken, ham, and slices of cheese in a philsbury cresent roll dough. Fold up and bake as directed on the back of the cresent rolls. (I came up with the cresent roll idea and love it)
Sprinkle parmason cheese, garlic salt, and bread crumbs on top of the rolls before baking.

Rules: Open your pictures file, got to the fourth folder, and then the fourth picture. Post the picture and write a little bit about what was going on.
This was taken at Cindy's annual Halloween party at the pumps in 2006. I was a cop and Trent was an inmate that year. This is a picture of some of my sister in laws and niece!
Last night we went to the Lehi Rec Center, I had a small swim suit that I put Faith in. I wish I had brought my camera because I put her in a little swing/bouncer for small kids in the pool and she loved it! She sat there just chillin' while Hannah and Austin were playing on the slide. Everyone kept saying how little and cute she was. One lady said she wants a baby so bad so I let her hold her. Then we went out for ice cream after, but by the time we got to the drive thru the kids were sound asleep.
SPILLED MILK
Today Trent woke up and was still tired when Austin asked him for some milk. Austin grabbed Hannah's cup that didn't have a lid on it and spilled it a little bit. Trent yelled at him to be more careful, and go find a lid! So Austin came running back in with a lid, Trent grabbed the cup of milk and not only spilled a little bit but spilled the whole cup! Austin told him he needed to be more careful or he was going to go to time out! Trent said it was a humbling expedience!

So far in the House of Order, I have cleaned out the playroom, my whole bedroom,(closet, dresser, under bed)and kitchen closet. I have given away ten big garbage bags to freecycle! I am not sure if I mentioned this or not already, but we learned to always write names on the back of pictures of who is in the picture, so when we die people know who is in the photo. This is so true, a couple years ago I made a movie for my dad with his ansisters in it. It was so sad when I didn't see any names on the back therefore not knowing who the people were in the photo.
On Friday I was able to go up AF Canyon with my parents, Aunt Morgan & Terry, & grandpa Deyoung. It was so good seeing you guys Morgan and Terry! You guys crack me up!! I am excited to see all the pictures you took as well! I've looked forward towards your visit and wish I lived closer so we could see each other more. I enjoyed it~!
Tonight the whole crew went over to my neighbors to all get hair cuts. Trent had fixed their sink and so she cut all our hair! I enjoy chatting with her. I also went to the scrapbook Expo with Ashley Jensen. Ashley it was so good to see you, and the present was so dang cute~!!! Thank you!!! We have to get together again soon
Our ward rented out the Lehi Rec center just for our ward! So of course we are going swimming tonight!!!

Letter Tag
Rules leave a messagge and I will give you a letter, then you have to come up with ten things you like with that letter. Brea gave me the letter "L"
1.Love- I love being in love! I enjoy all the different aspects of love. Love of my husband, first and foremost the best thing ever! He is my best friend and makes me a better person. I "love" the feeling to love my children, it is incredible to be able to teach them. I love friends and the relationships I have with my family!!
2. Learning- I love learning new things. I love when people who do not have the same point of view can teach me something, and I can leave with a better point of view and humility for others.
3. Leaves- I love fall, it is my favorite season of the year to see all the leaves change colors.
4. Lust- haha. I love not only being in love with my husband but lusting after him even after all these years!
5.Listening- I love when people can confide in me and vent. I love not only listening to them but also giving them advice if I can. That is what breaks the barrier down and I become true friends with people who aren't fake and confide in me. I am someone who has learned not to judge even when someone vents about someone they love, we all have tough times and its nice to have a shoulder to lean on.
6. Love Languages- I love the book The five Love Languages. It is so nice when you know what you and your spouses love language is. The best part is being able to provide for HIS love language, instead of waiting for him to fulfill yours
7.Laughing- I love to laugh so hard I cry
8-Lester- I love my dad he is the best dad in the world. From being young he would put me on his shoulders for a shoulder ride to make you stand a little taller, to now when problems arise, he is someone that makes you feel better by being in his presence. I hope he knows that
9.Lipstick/lingerie- nothing better to make your husband weak at the knees, jk LOL
10-Labor- I love having my children and seeing their beautiful face for the first time

This is something that came to my mind today. Why is it that society slashes women for something they did, yet men get a slap on the hand for the same thing? Let me tell you what I am talking about. In the Scarlet Letter, the woman had to wear the scarlet "A" so all the townspeople knew what she had done. It takes two to tango, so where was the guy? Of course he was in "hiding". When a girl becomes a "Woman" *trying to make the G rated* she is labeled harsh words that no woman should ever be called, yet when a man does the same thing, he gets a high five. On the radio today people were calling in and saying if their son ever slept around they wouldn't care, but if someone laid a finger on their daughter they would get out their guns. In some places in the world if a woman is raped, she is killed for loosing her virginity. So in my eyes when a woman does something wrong she is looked down on more than a man. In some religions Eve is looked down upon because of her partaking the fruit, well she didn't force Adam to eat, he partook himself.* I think very highly of Eve and I am sure God does too so this isn't my opinion* Because of that, some religions believe people are born into sin and that women have the pain of childbirth. *not all religions think people are born into sin because of Eve.* However if we are held accountable for our own sins and not Adams transgression then why would the pain of that be held upon us?* I ask that because some LDS people I have talked to believe that childbirth pain is a PUNISHMENT not a consequence for the situation* Ok enough of my babbling just thought it was something to bring up for a discussion. Why do you think it is? Is our virtue more powerful then we think? Is it worth more than men's in your eyes? (P.S this has nothing to do with anyone just made me think when hearing the radio today)

It was so good seeing you Amanda, about time now that I am feeling better! Faith has a new boyfriend and look she is already making him cry!

This week I start up preschool again. I was thinking of making another blog full of preschool printouts and ideas because I am the type of person that if I find something cool I love to share it. I also love finding websites just like that, where I can get ideas as well!
On Thursday I went to the second class of House Of Order. I have already cleaned out my whole bedroom, given away the big bed frame and cleaned out our dressers and closets. There is a lady in our ward who needs a hip replacement and insurance won't cover her, so they had a yard sale and I gave them that. I also have cleaned so much stuff that now I feel like I run around trying to clean as the kids make messes in areas that I just cleaned. I think I'm beginning to be a little obsessive about it. I need to slow down LOL

Sept 11 - 7 years later
Seven years ago today, I remember a young man running into our early morning biology class telling us a plane has hit the world trade center. It was 7:oo our time. Being young I didn't think "Terrorists" like I would now days if something were to happen. I was so busy that day with school and work that I when I went babysitting for my manager I was able to turn on the tv. My heart sank, even though I didn't know anyone killed or hurt in the attacks my life changed forever. My heart still aches for it. If you haven't seen "World Trade Center" with Nicolas Cage I suggest you do. It is an amazing story and if your obsessed with passion for 9/11 like I am then it will do justice for your heart. I remember watching a documentary on discovery about inside the buildings, I do believe it is supposed to be on again tonight. It is amazing some of the stories that those who survived went through, sadly there where thousands more stories we will never hear. I cried that day watching all the people trying to show their loved ones picture on the news. By that time it was nightfall in NYC. After babysitting my boyfriend *now husband Trent * and I went to a candle vigil. I remember telling the kindergarten aged children at work that today is a day they will remember. I wonder if they still do. I try to think of how big the towers were, the frantic prayers that were given and I can't even fathom it. Even though we live in Utah and are sometimes sheltered, this really did happen and it still affects many people. Where were you on this day 2001?

House of Order
BEFORE
AFTER
I am going to a relief society class for 8 weeks called House of Order. Last night was week 1. The lady talked about how we should get rid of half of everything. so if you have 20 pairs of shoes get rid of 10. It is easier to be organized, (we probably don't ever wear some of those shoes)and easier to clean up. I started with my hall closet. Each day I am going to try to clean out something. Next will be my clothes or lack thereof.
Say Cheese!
Austin told me that Faith smiled at him. He told me to come see. This is how she can smile so early. He sticks his fingers in the corners of her mouth and surprise she is smiling!
We were cleaning out the playroom and Hannah asked if she could hold Faith. I don't even know why she asks because when I tell her no she doesn't listen. She proceeded to take Faith and as I turned around I found poor little Faith as her baby doll(she is the real one on the top!) . I swear I have to keep my eye on that baby for EVERY minute! She was up all night and I finally got her to sleep at 6:00 a.m I turn around to finally get some sleep and I hear my door opening. Hannah comes running in, wanting to wake up the baby. When I told her no she and I got into an argument that lasted till 8:00. I don't even know why I made her pink chocolate chip pancakes when she acts like she is 5 going on 16!!!

Labor Day Weekend
This was the first and last time for me to get out for the summer !! On Thursday my niece Lindsay got married!! Then on Sat. we went to Cory and Gina's ranch! It was really fun and while we were up there Gina and I watched a m0vie that said this, " If you pray for courage, God isn't just going to give you courage, he is going to give you the chance to be courageous. If you pray for patience he isn't just going to give you patience he is going to give you the opportunity to be patient." I love that. Sunday was my mom's birthday and Trent decided to make a cake, I found a picture of her and put it in the cake. These pictures are of her reaction, notice my grandpa laughing. Sorry the pictures are so bad! Then on Monday we went up to Heber because we were going to go eat at Dairy Keen's but it was so busy. We spent the day with Jason and Kim and their family. This weekend was a good one!
