Conference weekend we always go to my grandpa DeYoung's house after the last session. We have done this ever since before I was born. This year we played the games that even I hear Joseph Smith played- Stick Pull! Let's just say I kicked my sisters trash, even though she likes to say she won. In these pictures I was trying to do it with bare feet so my little brother gave me his charlie brown honkin shoes to use, instead of my heels. Then later my little 15 year old brother Sean kicked everyone at leg wrestling. I think my favorite part of the day was watching my brothers try to beat up my cousin Raymond. I think even one time Raymond gave his best shot and through something in Scott's drink LOL.... ah the love of a family!

For preschool today we made Carrots out of Cheetos! The kids loved it. You just get cake decorating bags that are clear, add the Cheetos, and tie a green ribbon around it!

Another cute idea is to make birds nests. What you have to do is get chow main noodles and make them like rice crispy treats . You can add coconut and then add your Easter egg candy and peeps! you can add them on top of cupcakes for fun!!

The last couple of days when I go shopping I stick Faith in the little cart with Austin. She loves it!! Today is her 8th month mark!! She is getting big. She loves to cry when I leave the room until I tell her "it's ok" and she starts laughing. She puts everything in her mouth, unlike my other kids! She loves to watch people eat and then wants some. She grabs my bird nest on my table and tries to eat it constantly. She loves playing with her siblings. We went to kiddie kandids to get their pictures taken with cousins, and the lady said "BURGERS" and it scared Faith. She threw her hands back and was scared the rest of the picture time! She know has a little bit of hair to put a curler in it! When hannah was this age she had pigtails on the top of her head.

This last week my little brother Ryan came and stayed the week with me. On my birthday some of my friends got together and Shelley made me a cake to die for! The cake was so good!! On Friday my friends took me out for a day of fun! Thanks for making my birthday great! I took my brother and kids swimming at the Lehi pool. They loved it! Hannah made " student of the month" at her school!

She also made the pillow covers, this picture is hard to see because it was taken with my phone, but I love the material on the pillows it is so pretty.

She has a website where you can check out her work: http://customslipcoversbyshelley.blogspot.com/

I have decided that I really like these types of fabric now. Maybe I should go to the Sewing Class at enrichment from now on and learn something!!!

#1 Damask- Love the black on white

this would be pretty as a pillow on a bed or something. oohhh! Shelley you and April will have to show me how to make pillow cases ! I think this could be my new hobby.. (Yes a pillowcase. I don't sew~)

#3 Toile-

Love the Red!

Reminds me of my blue dishes that my grandpa almost gave to DI after his brother died. I was wrapping them up and asked If I could keep them!! I did and now my mom is "borrowing" them on her shelves!

Other material

Ohh for a bench chair !!

I think I have some new favorite things too! I love the color yellow and orange lately. Today while shopping my sister and I saw this really cute orange teapot it was cute. I also saw a purse a while back that had cow print on it with red handles. However, I think this giraffe one is Awesome! Love it... Crazy how much things can change. I used to make fun of my sister in law for loving animal print and now I am starting to love it! *Well some of it.*Shelley also had a foot chair with giraffe print. It was amazing!! Other things I now like that I used to not are "witch shoes" I call them. The pointy toe shoe! I also love the grey "pinstripe" shoes!
Today I met my mom and Sisters to go to some craft/home decor stores. I swear everything is out of stock! I want this shelf I have in visioned so I drew a picture of it for the lady at Scrooge & Marleys. Normally those stores have EVERYTHING She told me they have a guy that will make them. They are the cheapest shelves I have seen and normally have them. However everywhere we went everything was gone! Must be spring and everyone is out shopping! I am so pooped! We only went for an hour and a half to three different stores and I am so tired. On the way I noticed the Haunted Lehi Hospital was torn down :( Thanks for meeting up with me Mom, Kelli, and Erin. It was nice having a girls day!

Yesterday I met my family in SLC. Kelli, Sean, and Anya we missed you. I did my little sisters hair and make up for her "hot date" for a dance. We first met at HIRES BIG H and ate. It was nice to see my family. I am really going to miss my brother's family. They are moving at the end of May to Indiana for Residency. They will be gone for six years. They just had their first child in Dec. It was really nice to just see my family. Ever since my brother Scott came home, he realized how much he doesn't see me like he used to. I wish I could see them all more. Anyways, while there they had the best ice in my drink. I thought of you Holly. You would LOVE it. While there Hannah told Austin to show Erin what I had taught him. He starts sticking out his tongue and banging his head with his hands. What he was really supposed to show, is he can now roll his tongue three times. Way to go son! lol The time went by way too fast . Erin you will have to send me some pictures and let me know how it went!

Last night for Relief Society I went to "Women at the Well." It was a really good performance and I don't know why, but I lost it. We first met in the R.S room and sang " I believe in Christ" The last verse got me. Then we headed into the sacrament room and some ladies were dressed up and sang songs, with a slide show of Christ behind them. The first solo, this lady got up and started singing. I was dead center to the pulpit and it looked like she kept looking at me until the tears just came running down my face. She then looked away and started to choke up. Every time she looked at me she started crying. or so it seemed. You know when life can be hard and you just have to let it all out, well last night it all came out. Sitting by other women who were crying didn't help either. It made me realize that being a wife and mother makes me feel like I am a cornerstone for my family, I feel like I am lifting them up and it is baring down sometimes. I can't lift the weight. I realize that I am not alone in feeling this way, and Christ is there for us. Then this girl gets up in white and starts singing about her dying. It reminded me of my sister Chelsea. I couldn't hold it in, a girl next to me gave me a Kleenex and I couldn't even say thanks because I was trying so hard to not cry! It was really good and has been a long time since I have been to something like that. It was much needed!

There is nothing like an accomplishment. However, I find my accomplishments in having a clean house and then to find it get destroyed by the next day. I need to find an accomplishment that stays accomplished. I think I have turned into my mom *which is a good thing* when it comes to cleaning. I remember doing my chores and she would come in with a toothbrush and see things the naked eye couldn't! When I moved away from home I was always so busy and housework was the last thing on my mind. however, my type of cleaning used to be to let it get so messy then clean it all up. My roommate Crystal could attest to that one. I am not a great organizer but I am a deep cleaner. You may find clutter all around but if you look close hopefully there isn't dust and spaghetti sauce still on the wall from the kids. Today I accomplished a clean house. I love the smells of my banana nut bread candle and fresh baked cookies from the oven.I love the sounds of Hannah and Austin playing with their friends. I can then sit and enjoy a good book. The book I am reading now is a friend of mine about a girl who is a ghost! I absolutely love it! Then if I am lucky, while rocking faith to sleep I can watch my shows. Lately, Trent and I have decided to start watching Desperate Housewives. I used to make fun of my brother and sister in law because they had to be home every Sunday in order to watch it. It sounded stupid. Then everyone kept telling me good it was. After my friend Holly told me they like it I decided to take it up. We enjoy watching it. I find myself in some of the characters, and in others I find myself glad I am not like them, or some I need to be more like. The other show I am watching Is "Grey's Anatomy" I told myself I would never watch such sleaze.... Today during an episode there was a train wreck and two people were stuck together by a rod. In order to save one person, they had to take one off the rod which would leave to death. My hormones must be whacked out because I got teary eyed! All in all , it was a good day!

I decided it was time for some change. I cut my hair and dyed it even darker. It is hard to tell from these pictures because it was on my phone but here it is.

My friend camille had a great idea on how to dress her naked barbies. I don't know about your house, but I think we have more barbies then clothes. So in order to keep them modest * and so I don't have to keep reminding the kids to put clothes on them* I colored them with permanent marker.

Last night at Angie's house we played a game called "LIPS" if you like rock band with the singing, you will love this game! Trent said he saw it and you can get strobe light and fog machine with it. Angie also had the strobe light and fog machine (At least I think the ones they had came with the game) It made you want to dance! This game lets two people sing at the same time so it is a little like karaoke but you are competing against each other! It was real fun thanks Angie!

Today while I was cleaning Austin and Faith were playing so well together. Or so I thought! I turn around and Faith looks like she is bleeding out of her mouth!!! I pick her up and see that Austin had given her a marker to suck on! I call poison control but luckily the washable markers aren't poison. The guy on the phone asked if it was a good color for her. LoL. It was RED and can't come off. Nice thing I have to take her to get her shots today, the dr is going to think what a horrible mother I am! This picture is after I have tried to clean it off. The stain remains LOL
