What a ball!!!

This summer has been B-U-S-Y! Yet, here we are almost done with it! For the first half of summer I was busy in my craft room planning and making things for Girls Camp! I love coming up with cute ideas and making them, it is my hobby. Thanks to the D.I and Dollar Tree I was able to find things cheap. After Girl's Camp I started planning Faith's Cinderella Party! Two weeks ago I was in the E.R because I dropped sheet metal on my toe, cut it all the way to the bone and broke it in my big toe. At first I was worried my toe got cut off, my grandpa lost three fingers with sheet metal. I saw the toes still on and thought I would be ok, since there is nothing they can do for broken toes. My neighbor convinced me to go to the E.R, I am glad I did. I needed stitches in both toes, I had a broken one, and had to get on antibiotics to make sure I didn't get a bone infection. I no longer have a toe nail... pretty freaky. That put me behind a little. I still need to update my YW lesson's and Camp before I forget, but I will work my way back. TODAY we had FAtih's 3rd bday party with friends. I made a tutu for Faith and set up the party. Girl's came dressed as princess's and we played "Pin the mouse on the pumpkin" And with the magic wand " I had a glass slipper and it won't fit you.... but it will fit you!" We had Cinderella come and give the girls hugs and bubbles *A girl in my YW's dressed up for me she is awesome!* they ate PB&J Sandwiches in the shape of glass slippers, along with pumpkin sugar cookies, and cupcakes! They each got to take home a magic bibbidibobbidiboo wand, tutu, candy necklace, ring from the cupcake, castle with candy, and a Cinderella dress I made out of paper. Faith had a BALL !!!

Ok now that I have birthday on my brain... I am going to do a Black and hot Pink/Zebra stripped party for Hannah. We will make Black and Hot pink pom poms, black table cloth, hot pink boa, hot pink balloons and candy jars. Then I found the CUTEST cupcake holders that will go great!!! Her chair will be in black with a hot pink bow around it . If you know me you know I love SPARKLES and GLITTER!! Well, here is some edible glitter and pearls for the cupcakes!! Then for her baptism I am going to have a white table cloth with white pom poms~! She is so excited for her baptism!

Then for Faith I am going to do her favorite person on the plant... Cinderella! We will probably have a cinderella party,. Who knows however, since it is far away but I get so excited when the ideas come. I am taking the colors from this dress and using it as my theme. Light baby blue with silver. You could even get white twinkling lights to hang above the white and blue pom poms. Light blue table cloth, with little white pom pom napkin holders. Then for fun we could get plastic goblets to drink out of. I found the cutest cookie cutter of a glass slipper we could use and put the edible glitter all over it! Then she could have a light blue chair cover with a silver or white with sparkle ribbon over it:

The Invite rocket

This year I did a "Space" theme for Austin's party.THe invites for his party I made little rocket and wrote " 3...2...1.. It's Austin's Party and we are going to have a BLAST!! I told him he could only invite enough kids to match his age (6). IT was hard to find ideas online for a space party, which I thought I would have no trouble. I decided to make Planets , Moon, and sun out of tissue paper pom poms. I cut stars from neon color poster board. I was going to make a rocket cake, but I will save that for when my family comes over tomorrow. Instead I got tin foil looking cupcake holders and stuck little rockets I printed off online in them. We played "Pin the Man on The Moon" WHich I think they cheated cause they all hit the moon right on. Even Faith. We then played "Moon Walk" Which was like Musical Chairs. We then went on a Spaceship scavenger hunt (I made these up so bare with me lol) and I made rockets out of pringle cans and filled them with Milky Ways, Mars, POP Rocks, Glow in the dark glowsticks, SUN chips, ORBIT Gum, and STARbursts! I think the kids had a fun time!

The nice thing about being an April Fool, is I can lie about my age and get away with it. As far as I am concerned I just turned 24. (When I really turned 24 three years ago, I really couldn't believe how old I was) Today started out great with my little Hannah making me a cute birthday card. I had preschool and one little boy came up the sidewalk singing * Happy Birthday Teacher..er...* I am amazed at all the texts, cards, phone calls, emails, drop bys that all happened today. I really do feel loved and can't believe everyone's kindness. It meant a lot and I enjoyed talking/reading/ or seeing you all. I babysat for my friend while she went to the dr after her baby, and she came over and visited and let me hold her cute little one. My sister in laws all surprised me when I thought I was going to be babysitting for one of them, they all showed up with my favorite pizza! IT was great seeing them all (good thing Trent was a great guy cause had I met the family I still would've married him regardless of what he was like. jk) I had friends drop by cards and candy! Phone calls from people I hear often and from those I don't. I had to laugh cause Hannah was trying to get Austin to sing happy birthday to me, but I heard him say " I don't sing. Hannah I DO NOT SING." He gets it from me I guess. Tonight my neighbor has baked me a cake and is coming with her kids to eat spaghetti while Trent is in school. I really do have the best friends/family/ neighbors/ relatives and so on a girl could ask for. So Thank you.

27 things....

27 things I have learned in my 27 years of life.

1. People come and go, but for one reason or another (Good or bad) they leave an imprint in my life and change it forever. Past, Present, and future. Changes happens so fast sometimes I want to stay where I am. I am in a good place.

2. Life is too short to waste on regret

3. "life happens when you make other plans"

4. It takes forever to get to the age 18, but it flies by after that. It gets to the point you still feel 18 but your sore back, and spots of gray hair, and kids saying "MOM" says otherwise.

5. To be the best is doing your best. Your best and my best won't ever be the same but it's the effort you put into it that matters (As in parenting)

6. Hard times will hit, hope you take these as a learning lesson with one or more of the following : grow stronger/grow closer/ or grow apart from that which is troubling you

7.I would much rather be the victim then the one doing the hurting.

8.I knew God loved me when I met my husband.

9. We all have weakness's & trials... be open and help others when you can get yourself on your feet

10. People are here for only a short time, don't waste your time on being upset, offended, or hurt because all of those are a choice. Learn to stick up for yourself, and let what others say (good or bad) go in one ear and out the other no matter how horrible it is. (easier said than done.)

11.If feeling down, go help someone it will pick you up and make you happy

12. Look at the bright side of every negative in your life. Smile.

13. Sing a song to your kids and tell them everyday how much you love them. Write down the cute things they say You never know when it will be your or their last day

15.learn about other people you don't know much about (someone in a nursing home, someone of another faith) and try to make a difference

16. You are not going to hell for not being perfect. Just be you and do your best. Really that's all it takes to be a better person and live a better life. Learn what perfection and hell really means before jumping to conclusions.

17. Don't sale yourself short from what others tell you. If others leave and not like you, just realize God loves you.

18. You are not stuck up because you have self esteem, infact those that don't wish they had it

19. Say your sorry first. No matter what. Right or wrong. It will save a lot of grief.

20. The only person you can change is yourself, but you can be a shoulder to lean on in times of needs.

21. Having babies is a beautiful thing

23. Getting along with family/siblings/ in laws/ is a beautiful thing & blessing

24. We all fall down in life, but it's never too late to get up and start anew.

27? wow, I remember being 17 and thinking 21 was old. I remember being a babysitter and thinking the mom who was 26 was so old. Funny thing is I feel like just a couple years ago I was starting to move out and go to college. Only a couple years ago I was playing pranks and attending High school. Just a couple years ago I came up to my mom's shoulder. Man time flies.

Today I have learned that a lot of people really do care!

I told you earlier I was thinking of doing a "Sesame Street" birthday party for Faith! She LOVES Ernie from "Play with me Sesame" I showed you earlier the cute Elmo cupcakes and I now found these cookie monster ones!!! I am going to try to find a cupcake for a different character! For Oscar the grouch you can use dyed green coconut for his fur. OR maybe I will make three round cakes, one of Elmo, one of Cookie monster, and a small one of oscar. Kind of like this *but round*
